It is presented in one module containing four structured sections. Section one covers industry background and theories relating to security, learning outcomes in section two relate to legislation and regulations in respect of criminal law, civil law, employment and safety law as they impact on the functions and duties of operational security staff. Section three is a specialist retail security section. Section four relates to practical and emergency procedures which are designed to enable candidates acquire a range of skills required for workplace security procedures and responses to on-site emergencies.
